Megan and Niall traveled from Ireland to get married in Yosemite National Park. The bride is American turned Irish, as she moved there to study abroad in college and never came back. She even has a cute Irish accent. Her parents live in Indiana and are unable to fly, so she knew they had to choose a location in North America.
They arranged this wedding as a destination vacation for their guests as well. After the ceremony at Sentinel Beach, everyone enjoyed a picnic lunch, then a tour bus came to pick them up for a private tour of Yosemite Valley. They got to wave at us as they saw us taking photos in the meadows.
Their reception was held at The Redwoods in Yosemite, a subdivision in Wawona in south Yosemite. They and their guests rented cabins, and the reception was held in The Redwoods' event room. The couple chose a Mexican fusion BBQ/taco bar by The Flaming Burrito (literally the best tacos I've ever had). They wanted to give their guests a very American experience.
