Monique and Miguel’s Vintage Gardens wedding was like a fairy tale – the beautiful day, the decor, the special tears of happiness, and a ball gown fit for a princess. Monique looked amazing and gorgeous, and Miguel looks at her like she’s the most beautiful woman in the world. They and their three children are now a perfect blended family, and there is no doubt that they love each other intensely.
Rather than doing vows during the ceremony, they wrote letters to each other and read them out loud in their prospective suites before the wedding. In the bridal suite, Monique’s thirteen-year-old daughter, Anastasia, went first. The letter from Miguel started like so: “Well, we’ve finally made the whole family thing official.” As she read, she and Monique cried, filled with emotion. It was incredibly special to me, having been adopted by my father as well. Then Monique read her sweet letter from Miguel, and he read hers. They wrote about how much they loved each other, how strong their relationship is, and of course, that they couldn’t wait to be man and wife.
This couple deserves all this happiness. They are genuine, sweet people and AMAZING parents. It’s clear that Monique gets her beauty and amazing spirit from her mother, and that Miguel gets his generosity of love from his parents. Sadly, Monique lost her dad, so her mother walked her down the aisle. Then, during the reception, her brother did something REALLY amazing… After the bride and groom dance, he got up to give a little speech about their dad, and tears gathered in his eyes. He said that every bride deserves to have a Father & Daughter dance at her wedding, so all the fathers in her life were going to dance with her, including himself. Butterfly Kisses flooded the tent and Monique had her Father & Daughter dance, with all the men in her life that have stepped up for her and taken care of her – her brother, her step father, her new father-in law, and other family members. Monique’s eyes glistened with tears as she smiled and laughed with these amazing men in her life. This was, by far, my favorite dance at any wedding I’ve seen.
Thank you Monique and Miguel, and your beautiful families, for including us in this day. We are honored and blessed to know you.
