I’ve been wanting to do a wedding registry on our web site for about five years, but like many other tasks, it got shoved to the end of my “To Do” list because I didn’t know where to start. Now that photography wedding registries are becoming somewhat common, it’s now or never! I discovered Gively.com, an amazing, all-inclusive, easy to use registry web site. We’re all set up and ready to rock!
All I have to do is enter a client’s information and the software sends them an email. They can then register for whatever they like – generic credits, prints, albums, etc – and send their registry out via email, Twitter, Facebook, and other social media. To take it a step further, we will be providing our clients with pretty registry cards (think of what Macy’s gives you) to put in their wedding invitations.
I set up a mock account for Mark and I, and I realized two things: 1) I’m very greedy. 2) This software is EASYYYY!
I’m so excited because this gives clients the opportunity to hire the photographer of their dreams (hopefully us) and be able to afford it. Brilliant, I know… Don’t applaud, just throw money!
