Carly and Chris chose Yosemite as the destination for their wedding because it was a special childhood memory for Chris. His family took him to Yosemite every year for vacation. Carly had never visited the park. Right when she met Chris, her parents moved to Oakhurst to retire. It was kismet! So he took her to Yosemite and they fell in love with the park and each other. They first said “I love you” at Glacier Point, and the first photos of them on their walls were taken in Yosemite.

A close friend of the couple played guitar for the processional and recessional. It was beautiful, but when I said, “Freebird!!!” they didn’t laugh.

What first attracted Chris to Carly?

“She has a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh.  Our second date I took her to a comedy club and she laughed a lot and I couldn’t get enough of it.  What I love most about her is how she is just genuinely a good person.  She’s a hard worker and she’s very smart, she went to a good school and has a good job and she just generally has her stuff together.  Somehow she still finds time to be a loving, caring, and kind partner.”

What first attracted Carly to Chris?

“He looked very genuine and kind. What I love most about him now is that he is so dependable, reliable, and giving. And he can fix anything around the house! it feels like he is committed to me in every way and just feels right like husband material He always puts in his best effort at everything he does.”
