The most important thing to Kaitlyn and Julian is family, and their wedding was definitely a family event. Their loved ones traveled from all over to celebrate all the love at this amazing wedding. They were incredibly supportive, helping in any way they could.
When I think about this wedding and look at the collection of photos, the word I think of is “Luxurious.” Not in a showy, garish way, but in an elegant, quiet way. That’s a great way to explain Kaitlyn. She’s beautiful and elegant, yet she loves to let loose and laugh. Every time she looks at Julian, her face softens and she gets a ‘Isn’t he dreamy?’ look in her eyes. He comes into view, and suddenly she’s fourteen again with butterflies in her stomach. It’s honest and adorable.
Kaitlyn and Julian bring out the best in each other. She’s helped him to be less shy and more outgoing, and he tempers her wild side. Together, they’re the perfect mix of fun, kindness, and adventurous. Check out their engagement blog to learn about their love story and his romantic proposal on the California coast.

Kaitlyn’s aunt rented the mansion on the grounds at Viaggio, and it had this really cool swimming pool and patio out front. I love the lamp posts. They’re definitely unique.
These Jimmy Choo bridal shoes are so sparkly and feminine, perfect for Kaitlyn’s styling.
This little diva was so adorable, I followed her around all day. Sorry Kaitlyn, she kind of stole your thunder! She loves her auntie Kaitlyn SO much, and loved being the flower girl. I’m pretty sure she thought the wedding was all for her.
The bedrooms in the mansion were somewhat dark, and this foyer was full of light, along with these awesome lamps, so I had Kaitlyn get ready right in the middle of it. Don’t worry, I had her get into her dress in a bedroom and come out once she was covered.
Diva flower girl was ready for her close-up. I kept moving right, then left, then right, but she followed my camera and refused to get out of the way! HILARIOUS!
Kaitlyn paid to have her gown pressed, but when she put it on, it she realized it had wrinkled in the garment bag. Mark ran out to the car and got our portable steamer, and voila!
Kaitlyn’s Monique Lhuillier gown is by far, my favorite I’ve ever seen. The sleeves and lace and handkerchief hem design is so dreamy! I can’t get enough! So luxurious and high quality, and Kaitlyn looks like she belongs in a magazine. It’s just amazing.
I got to have a few sips of the Dom at the reception and it was like drinking gold. It was DELICIOUS!
Kaitlyn requested some Vanity-Fair-style photos of the bridesmaids, and we had a lot of fun with it. I love the alternating navy and burgundy lace bridesmaid dresses.
The floral design by Embellished Floral was one of my favorites I’ve photographed. They were lux, yet wild, and boho in a way. Kaitlyn put a locket on her bouquet so she could have her father and her grandmother with her. Very sweet.
Kaitlyn had AMAZING bridesmaids! They were there to help all day long, and they were all super sweet. We had a lot of fun with them.
Kaitlyn’s brother stepped up when their father passed, and he’s really been there for Kaitlyn. He got to walk her down the aisle on this magical day.
Julian’s face as he watched Kaitlyn walk down the aisle is priceless. Her beauty hit him pretty hard.
She decided she was done with the basket and just threw it. I don’t know what else to say about that. It was really funny.
I literally didn’t notice the bridesmaid sticking her tongue out (above) until right now when I was adding this caption. Hah! I’m not changing it.
Julian looked handsome in his navy Calvin Klein suit. Together they look like a royal couple with that dress and long veil.
The sun was setting quickly, and we had about fifteen minutes to do portraits of the bride and groom. It was nuts, but we pulled it off!
This cake by Something Sweet Bakery is the most elegant I’ve photographed. It was impeccable, flawless, delicious. The monogram really added a royal feel to the design.
The reception room at Viaggio is beautiful, with white draping and beautiful ironwork.
This is Julian’s mom, dancing with the short blonde hair. She’s gorgeous! I love her!
