Allison and Tyler’s wedding at Galletto in Modesto was beautiful, and their reception at the Doubletree Modesto was fun!
The story of how Allison and Tyler met is hilarious and cute. “I must have spent two years getting a date with her,” Tyler said. “I was always fascinated because she’s the nicest person I know.” He went on to explain that for everything he lacked, she had strength, as if she’s the Yin to his Yang. She’s the nice to his rude. We all laughed at his honesty. I have to say though, that Tyler does seem different after three years of marriage to Allison. The roughness around the edges that he once possessed has softened, and much more of his sweet personality (he’s going to kill me for this) shines through. Now it’s clear that he’d give you the shirt off his back, and I have no doubt that Allison has a lot to do with that.
So how did Tyler finally get that date with Allison? She was planning on applying to a dance school summer program, but she needed a video she could send in with the application. She had several videos that had been taken of her dancing, but they needed to be edited and put together. “Oh yeah, I can do that,” Tyler told her, in so many words. He jumped online, downloaded a video editing program to his computer, and invited her over. He said they could watch a movie and eat while he edited the video for her. She agreed, unaware that he had NO IDEA how to edit video, or how to use this program. “So as she was sitting there watching the movie, I was very quietly trying to learn how to use this program.” Slick, Tyler… Very slick… But it worked, because Allison said, “Once we started hanging out, it just seemed right.”
On the anniversary of their first date, Tyler arranged for a table on the beach at Half Moon Bay with flowers and candles. When he got down on one knee and held the diamond ring toward Allison, she was speechless. She cried and sat on his knee. “So is that a yes?” Tyler asked as he sunk into the sand and tried not to fall over. They celebrated with a fabulous dinner and watched the sun set, just as they had a year before on that very beach.
