The Century in downtown Modesto is a urban wedding venue with brick walls, beautiful wood floors, crystal chandeliers, and a large bridal suite. The bride and groom had them set up the cake against the brick wall and twinkle lights. When it was time for the cake cutting photos, they were having so much fun just being together, so I took a candid picture in black and white film.
This venue is quite different from the other venues we have in California's Central Valley. We work at Vintage Gardens so much, which is a garden ceremony spot with a tented reception area. In contrast, The Century is very modern and all indoor. It is very convenient year-round because you don't have to worry about the weather. Both the ceremony and reception are inside, and there are plenty of places to do wedding photos.
The venue is very versatile. It goes with any colors, flowers, or decor. They provide long barn tables for dinner, as well as nice chairs. This gives guests a homey, intimate feel. There's plenty of room for dancing!
If you're planning a black tie, evening wedding, this wedding hall is perfect. It's very classy with the crystal light fixtures and satin draping. They do a beautiful job at setting the tables as well.
