Who wouldn't want to get married in the clouds, above Yosemite's valley? Glacier Point has the most majestic views of the iconic land mark Half Dome, as well as Yosemite Falls. If you're getting married in the fall, be ready for the cold!
This bride wore a vintage fur coat over her fitted satin wedding gown and cowboy boots, and she was very comfortable. Her groom brought along hand-warming packets and put them in her pockets. Isn't that a thoughtful husband?!
Glacier Point is the perfect spot for a wedding ceremony, not only because of the view. It's also convenient, with plenty of parking, bathrooms (outhouses, so be prepared), and enough room for people to sit and/or stand and watch the ceremony.
There are unlimited photo opportunity for wedding pictures. As if Glacier Point wasn't enough, the breathtaking Taft Point is nearby. Get a completely different view of the park from dangerous-looking, adventurous ledges and vista points. Then explore the valley and take pictures with Bridalveil Falls. Keep an eye out for wildlife! They'll usually stay still for photos if you don't make any sudden moves.
There are options in the valley for reception venues. The Majestic Yosemite Hotel is perfect for a sit-down brunch or lunch. Their restaurant is fantastic, with delicious food, wonderful service, and a beautiful atmosphere.
